I have conducted research on neural network architectures and post-processing techniques to obtain the most accurate results. As a data scientist at BIOCAD, I have been developing different ML-based applications aiding in early drug discovery. I dived in the industry and was able to propose and implement changes in the processes, which resulted in enhanced transparency across the computational part of the process. Successfully completing projects and a paradigm shift in BIOCAD resulted in my promotion to head of the division and, further, to head of the department. I have been managing several cross-functional teams developing novel small molecule drugs. We built a purely Agile, startup-like environment and developed a novel anti-cancer treatment. At the department, we also developed new technologies that could reduce risks in drug discovery or decrease the required time, including an expression platform for protein complexes, 3D cell line imaging to better predict in vivo activity and toxicity, and a computational platform supporting all stages of the drug discovery process. After building a startup-like environment within a large company, my focus changed to working in startups in the early stages. I am interested in building disruptive products using my deep experience in biotechnology and artificial intelligence.
