  Arif Maqbool is a I am industrious, self-motivated, qualified first class Engineering Graduate with around 23 years of international experience in wide range of construction with specialization in material procurement and contracts of Civil / Finishing / Architectural/ Interior fit outs/ MEP/ Roads, infra for the following projects: High-rise Buildings, Residential buildings and compounds, Roads and Infra-structure, Cement Plants, Hotels ,Villas etc. Hands on experience to prevalent computer oriented tools like Oracle Purchasing System, Microsoft office, Power Point, AutoCAD, Outlook etc. My role: • Leading and assisting procurement team members with procurement processes. • Develop and update procurement policies and procedures as per project requirement to add value and efficiency to the organization. • Managing the tendering process/stages starting from the RFP until the successful awarding of the Contract. • Manage the procurement supervisors with clear objectives and procurement standards. • Manage the Vendor’s Management Tasks for Vendor’s Registration and Qualifications • Implement controls to ensure that the procurement procedures are conducted with the highest integrity, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and return on Investment. • Manage all local purchasing and procurement of goods or services from local and international suppliers. • Manage and oversee the completion of tasks performed by Procurement staff. • Establish the required management reports. • Assist all departments in developing and implementing procurement best practices, processes, and output quality and help achieve the set goals and strategies. • Ensure adherence to procurement policies and budget guidelines. • Regular review of suppliers and their pricing. • Responsible for preparing and processing purchase orders and documents by company policies, budget, and procedures. • Liaise with the Finance Division to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices, as necessary for the business with the suppliers. • Source, select, and negotiate for the best purchase package in terms of quality, costs, terms, deliveries, and services as per project requirement. • Determine the root cause of a conflict with suppliers and take corrective and preventative measures to remedy the situation should it arise. • Resolving daily project procurement issues. Skills: Vendor development; Techno-commercial negotiations; Prequalification and Material submittals review and getting approvals; Excellent verbal and written communication skill; Decision making; Dispute resolving.
