This is allowed me to have served as a classroom teacher, District Level Administrator, University Professor, educational consultant and principal for the for the past thirteen years for LAUSD. I pride myself on being a transformational leader and have a proven tract record of transforming the culture of two schools from low performing to high achieving. My passion for education rest in the area of culturally relevant pedagogy and practice, and ensuring that the voices of the underrepresented student---Black and Latino students are heard and that they will see themselves in the classroom environment. Without question this is a fundamentally different discussion, strategy and plan of action for Black students and that has been my calling in the field of education. I am a practitioner as well as a researcher and support teachers, parents and educational leaders with the tools needed to do what is right and good for students is my expertise.
