Antonio Pascual Iserte Email & Phone Number | Antonio Pascual received the MsC and the Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona, Spain, in 2000 and 2005, respectively. He was awarded with the "First National Prize of 2000/2001 University Education" by the Spanish Ministry of Education and with the "Best 2004/2005 PhD Thesis Prize" by UPC. From September 1998 to June 1999 he worked as a Teaching Assistant on the field of microprocessor programming in the Electronic Engineering dept. at UPC, and from June 1999 to December 2000 he was with Retevision R&D, working on the implantation of the DVB-T and T-DAB networks in Spain. In 2001, he joined the dept. of Signal Theory and Communications at the UPC, where he worked as a Research Assistant until 2003. He became Assistant Professor in 2003, Associate Professor in 2008, and Professor in 2024. Antonio Pascual was a visiting researcher at the Technological Telecommunications Center of Catalonia [http://www.cttc.es] from 2005 to 2012. During this period he was involved in several projects of the radio-communications and engineering areas. He worked in the testbed GEDOMIS, an experimental real-time physical layer platform for validating MIMO solutions with real wireless transmission. His role was in the development of signal processing algorithms for their implementation in the baseband stages of the platform, the validation of the proposed solutions, the definition of procedures for the debugging of the developed algorithms using the platform, and the advising on the new strategic scenarios to be considered and lines of work to be carried out. His current research interests include: array processing, OFDM, MIMO channels, multiuser access, optimization theory, and heterogeneous networks.
