At BMS, I started my career as an In Vivo lab leader, eventually working my way up to Director in charge of the Fibrosis Discovery pipeline. I worked on or lead projects spanning gut and brain GPCRs, gut and brain enzymes, fibrosis-related kinases, senescence targets, immunology targets focused on fibrosis, and targets regulating skeletal muscle metabolism. More than 10 of these programs nominated a clinical candidate. Along the way I was directly involved in the evaluation and acquisition multiple assets and companies; some of those assets are approved drugs, while others are currently in late-stage clinical trials. My current position at Boehringer-Ingelheim puts me at the earliest stage of the Pipeline for Obesity and NASH. Together with my team, I identify and collaborate with academics and small companies at the cutting edge of new target identification and validation.
