While not touring I mixed sound in all the local NYC clubs (circa 1976 - 1980). Max's Kansas City, CBGBs, The Great Guildersleeves, Hurrahs, The Cat Club, The Ritz, The Peppermint Lounge... A solid 10+ years of full time touring started in the '80s with Daryl Hall & John Oates, Neil Young, INXS, Mikhail Baryshnikov, The Band, Mariah Carey... and then in 1993 I landed at Sony Music Entertainment. They had an in house production department and a recording studio. I had a solid relationship with the man in charge. It was a perfect fit. I have been FOH eng, production manager and/or tour manager for Emmylou Harris, Sheryl Crow, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Daryl Hall & John Oates, Michael McDonald, AWB, Gorillaz, Charlotte Church, Sade, The Band, Augustana, Edie Brickell and Simon and Garfunkel (to name a few) before moving to Nashville in '07. • extensive touring experience with responsibilities ranging from instrument technician, stage manager, tour manager, production manager and FOH audio engineer both domestically and internationally • orchestrating multiple events simultaneously • supervision and management of event production teams and technical crews • liaison between event producers, finance managers and production staff • development and tracking of event budgets and schedules • contract negotiations with unions, sponsors, vendors, technical and production staff • legal issues involving liability and risk management
