Anne Pigeon is a With over 33 years in the ski industry I have gained very valuable experience in all aspects of resort management and operations that could be applied to almost any position in the hospitality / adventure industry. I have been active within the Nelson Community and Kootenay Rockies region in promoting the area as a destination of choice for visitors from around the world. I have sat on various boards including Kootenay Rockies Tourism, Nelson Kootenay Lake Tourism, Nelson and District Chamber of Commerce and the Tourism Industry of British Columbia. While I enjoy the challenge of day to day operations my real interest is in Tourism / Sales & Marketing as I thrive on the opportunity to network and create relationships with amazing people that do really cool things while promoting tourism and business in general. Recently I have been very fortunate to have worked at a great resort, Whitewater, while living the dream as I raised my three kids in Nelson. I am now in search of what is next for me as a self employed tourism specialist. Currently on contract with the Canada West Ski Areas Association working on the Experiences B.C. winter campaign. Open for more, bring it on! January update - Here we go! Happy to announce the formation of my new company, RAP Park Contracting operating KootenaySWParks.com - (site to launch sometime in February 2015) In Partnership with BC Parks, my partner Rick and I have taken on the daily operation of Champion Lakes, Davis Creek, Lost Ledge, Kokanee Creek, Syringa Park and Grohman Narrows Provincial Parks.
