When I was in college I traveled to Europe with three college friends and we visited the Louvre in Paris, France, Prado Museum in Madrid Spain and studied the art of El Greco and visited Toledo, Spain.We visited the Sistine Chapel in Rome and Florence to view Michelangelo work. As a young woman I visited Guggenheim and all larger museums in New York, Washington DC, Denver, Colorado, DIA in Detroit and Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles and other cities. living in San Francisco I was a docent at the DeYoung Museum. My interest still continues and I have served in some capacity on museum boards in large cities where I have worked and lived. I am not an artist but "In love with the arts." I felt a need to read Art Books and loved learning all that I could about the artists themselves. I was amazed at how many friends did not know about the wonderful history on these artists and their work. It bothered me so much that I decided to take a correspondence course and learn more and know how to pronounce their names.
