After an undergraduate degree in Biotechnology and master’s degree in Molecular & Human Genetics in India, I finished PhD in Veterinary Medicine in UCD working on gastrointestinal inflammation and its prevention by nutraceuticals. I then undertook two postdoctoral positions in UCD and TCD (School of Pharmacy) specializing in bioactive components and biomarkers in milk (milk proteins and milk extracellular vesicles), investigating their potential application on the improvement of human and animal health. Parallel to my academic research, I also grew interest in Project Management and obtained a postgraduate diploma in Clinical Research and a professional certificate in Project Management in UCD and worked as a Project Manager for an MSCA research grant in TCD. In 2022, I organically transitioned to industry, as a Project Manager in ICON plc. As a Central Laboratory Project Manager, I am involved in management and liaison of cross functional teams across multiple Pharmaceutical industry led clinical trials.
