My last work experience at Dow Chemical as a Validation Chemist afforded a more business outlook on how Dow coordinate with other global labs to align methodologies and procedures to act as one unit.Before my work experience at Dow Chemical, I worked at ExxonMobil as Analytical Operator in the High Throughput Lab. My work duties included, performing GPC analysis on the catalytic effects of polyethylene, polypropylene, and ethylene polymer samples. I participated in improvement processes for catalytic olefin technologies e.g. rewriting protocols for specific sample types using Epoch. I was responsible for maintaining adequate amounts of fresh consumables and spare parts to ensure continuous operations. I conducted calibrations and controls for GPC, DSC, and FTIR analysis. My position with Albemarle lasted two years. My major contribution to this company was the modification of an existing procedure to offer customers skeletal density testing as another test method for details into the efficiency of our catalyst. I was given the project after others had been unsuccessful in utilizing the existing test with lackluster results. After wards, I provided a SOP for publication and a new method for the company to secure additional revenues. Other responsibilities included operating a wide variety of analytical testing instruments following ASTM standard procedures e.g. surface area, particle size analysis, and DAPTS testing. Although my background is extensive and covers a range of areas, I have been a contributing asset to the companies for which I’ve worked. I possess impeccable integrity and strong work ethics. My desire is to become a part of an organization that offers challenge, excitement and non-routine work, and where I can fully utilize my knowledge as a Master level chemist and leadership capabilities.
