We work to connect each part of the CASA community and empower the local programs to perform at their highest level. At the local level, the programs recruit, train and supervise Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers to advocate for children involved in the child welfare system and improve their well-being. At the state level, Texas CASA provides financial support, training and services to help the local programs operate effectively. I formally served as the Treasurer of the Board of Directors of Arms Wide Adoption Services formerly, Spaulding for Children. As a board member, I have seen firsthand the benefits that Arms Wide Adoption Services offers children who are in need of permanent loving homes. Additionally, I am a former board member of the Dallas Accounting Careers Awareness Program spons啊ored by the National Association of Black Accountants, Inc. which is held on various university campuses throughout the US.
