I spent 10 years as a contractor before moving to a permanent role with the Bank of Scotland in 1995 which is now part of the Lloyds Banking Group. Since 2008 I have been involved in Enterprise Architecture and Design with responsibility for IT governance along side my Solution Architect role working on major projects for the International Banking division of Lloyds Banking Group. In October 2012 I returned to contracting specialising in solution architecture and E2E design roles in the banking and finance sector. In April 2020 I returned to permanent work at Barclays Bank UK. Qualifications: BSc (Hons) Computer Science MBCS (Member BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT) CITP (Chartered IT Professional) TOGAF 8 Certified ISEB Certificate in IT Architecture ISEB Certificate in Systems Modelling Techniques (UML). Skills: • Application Solution Architecture • End to End Solution Design • Banking Sector – including Retail, Commercial, Corporate, Wealth and International • IT Architecture Governance, chairing of design assurance committees ensuring the strategic roadmaps, IT polices and architectural standards are adhered to • Delivery of quality IT Architecture documents, including Solution Overviews, End to End solution designs, UML diagrams • Mainframe, client/server, internet, mobile, multi-channel applications, mid-tier enterprise services, web services, SOA.
