I graduated from Appalachian State University in 2008 with a BA degree in History: Secondary Education and was certified as a high school history teacher. I started my professional life working for 8 years as a youth pastor serving 100+ students and their families at a local Methodist church. The relationships I got to build with the young people I served are some of my most treasured today. After church work I transitioned and had the awesome opportunity to work for the iconic American fashion brand, Ralph Lauren. For 3 years I managed and led a team of 20+ in the 2M a year, Blowing Rock, NC store and oversaw all facets of the business: HR-related functions, operations, product merchandising, as well being the lead champion of providing top-end customer service! The highlight of my time at RL was getting selected to continue working as a GM Cluster Champion during the pandemic furlough to help develop and rollout the company’s post-pandemic business strategy. Most recently my family and I spent a year in Atlanta, GA working with dear friends at Northlands Church as their Director of Children’s Ministry, running all programs for kids and families from birth through 5th grade. Now we're excited to be back in the mountains of North Carolina!
