When considering Build vs Buy, the latter often wins: companies buy large enterprise software and then integrate...not software into the human architecture: instead, they integrate people into software...because it's easier. Then they build workarounds, because the purchased software is never perfect and not only resists to change, but also causes awkwardly shaped problems. Being a relentless reader and studier by nature, I have been reading books on system thinking and complexity theory and continuously organize new ideas into the scaffold that I developed, the scaffold that I call unit oriented architecture, which is built on top of human architecture of the enterprise. I am also interested in developing a generic framework around problem solving with genetic algorithms, and developed a working prototype that visualizes the approach I propose. I come to work to build value, enlighten people, and extract moments of enlightenment from the daily noise.
