  Andrew Peterson Pharmd Fcpp is a My current position is Professor of Pharmacy in the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy at Saint Joseph's University (SJU). Prior to SJU's acquisition of University of the Sciences, I served as Assistant Provost for Faculty Development and Executive Director of the Substance Use Disorders Institute (SUDI). In my various roles at USciences, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching, training, mentoring, researching, publishing, and speaking at conferences around the world. Recognitions include several awards for excellence in teaching and for learning innovation. Using these skills and experiences, I seeking to share my talents to create an environment in which learners have the opportunity to learn what they need to learn so they can be successful in their lives and their careers. As Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Health Policy, I taught management, research design & statistics to pharmacy, MBA, and Public Health/Health Policy students. My most recent areas of interest are medication adherence and medications in the environment, and other expertise includes health policy, pharmacy management, managed care pharmacy, and pharmaceutical care. I’ve published many scholarly papers and co-authored an authoritative text for mid-level practitioners, “Advanced Pharmacotherapeutics: A Practical Approach,” as well as a management text for pharmacy students and practitioners - Leadership and Management in Pharmacy Practice. I’m fortunate that my position allows me to combine the things I love most: teaching and research with mentoring and bringing people together. I deeply value networking and teamwork, and I’m adept at building consensus among vastly different people to reach both institutional and personal goals. People say that I’m approachable, relatable, trustworthy, and loyal, and I’m guided by my commitment to giving others opportunities to shine. As a professor and administrator, I’m able to be there for both students and alumni. I enjoy connecting alumni to each other and students to alumni in order to foster relationships, support professional development, find jobs, and enrich each other’s lives.
