I have managed the Hygiene book of work for my department for several years, in the past year I have utilised teams to ensure I am providing both stakeholders and senior management a current view of progress across the book of work. This has improved visibility and enables fast escalation of issues when required. In the past year I have volunteered to co-chair a committee with Glasgow Technology, the Associate Assembly works directly with the management team in Technology, as a shadow board to offer suggestions, challenge and hold them accountable where necessary. This has been a great leadership opportunity, while also enabling me to engage with senior managers across the firm. I mentored an apprentice who was on a Project Management rotation within the team, I have also mentor people out with the team as part of a Glasgow Technology initiative. I manage software sourcing across the department, having set up a new Kanban based process to facilitate renewal of licenses and purchase of new software, requested by stakeholders. Utilising Kanban we can clearly see next steps, action owners and any blockers. Annually I work with stakeholders on hardware collation ask and submission for the department. Furlough management, ensuring all contingent workers meet their required mandatory leave requirements. Jive (in house webspace) management, updating the team page, ensuring our content is up to date and relevant.
