I've worked in university level physics labs since the summer before my final year of high school; and have since had substantial experience in the fields of photonics, high energy, and cosmological experimental and theoretical research. In terms of actual work, although I have a fairly broad skillset in terms of programming, I tend to prefer to "get my hands dirty", per se, as I love to work in Solidworks or EAGLE designing components, then going to fabricate them in the machine shop. I've recently started working with 3D printing, which is an absolute blast, although not too useful in terms of the cryogenic materials I need to work with at the second! When I'm not working, I enjoy taking long walks in the cold, writing, reading, watching TV and movies, spending time with friends, and playing my violin and saxophone.
