My current responsibilities include: procuring, negotiating and managing subcontracts with a total value in excess of 15m, conducting development valuations, negotiating variations, maintaining budget control, agreeing final accounts, and liaising closely with subcontractors to ensure costly and timely delivery to meet the construction programme. I have previously worked within the Barratt Development business for over three years, primarily based on the Swallow Fields development, a 70m project in Hemel Hempstead, alongside the Quantity Surveyor, Technical and Construction Team on site. The scheme consists of 357 units, ranging from two-bedroom apartments through to four bedroom detached houses. The scheme was split into three phases, of which I procured every package, with the exception of groundworks, for phase three (71 plots). Previous to my career in construction I spent two and a half years working within insurance and business to business sales and commercial development. In total I made over 250,000 in gross sales within my two sales positions.
