Employees at the company have put in a huge amount of work in this short space of time: surveys of the instant electronic payments market in the Czech Republic, the development of our own hardware and software solutions, talks with leading telecommunications operators and the largest companies on the market in the provision of services and finally the realisation and introduction of our own service. Instant electronic payments with the use of self-service terminals represent a qualitatively new service for the Czech market. The required transfer of money can be done at any time, day or night, using a payment terminal equipped with special software. During the transaction there is no need for the presence of a hired operator and thanks to intuitively comprehensible interface with multiple language support this is a simple and comfortable method of payment for any end user, including visitors to the country. The basic setting of the terminal allows payments to be made for the services of mobile operators and will be available in the foreseeable future for payments of municipal services, payments for Internet and satellite, for booking flights etc. Negotiations are currently underway with the relevant companies. The strategic task of Europay is to expand its own network of payment terminals in the Czech Republic, to increase the interest of end users in the service by introducing further services and to provide an opportunity to different business and service organisations to increase the profitability and attractiveness of their own businesses by being able to locate payment terminals on their premises for conditions favourable for both sides.
