I love seeing a child's eyes light up when they have mastered a skill for the very first time. Every single day, I feel so incredibly blessed to get to do what I do. As a senior in high school, I learned about the child life profession and hit the ground running to pursue my dream career. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's in Human Development and Family Studies in 2013. Later that year, I moved to the beautiful Hill Country to attain my Master's in Family and Child Studies, Child Life Track from Texas State University. While I was in San Marcos, I spent a great deal of time volunteering at Children's Hospital of San Antonio and Dell Children's in Austin, Texas. In August, my child life journey took me to Dallas, Texas, where I interned at Children's Health, formally know as Children's Medical Center. In December of 2014, I successfully completed over 650 clinical hours. I am currently a child life specialist at Children's Health in the pre-surgical and radiology department. I hope to complete my Master's this upcoming May!
