I spent my early years getting a good grounding across the area of Petroleum Engineering before putting into practice my training in operational environments far from ENI’s HQ. I have a passion for sub-Saharan Africa where I have worked extensively during my career always achieving excellent results. This experience in Africa began in Nigeria. It was fantastic in terms of growth and personal development. I spent a lot of time with local staff on swamp and on-shore supporting them, learning from them, and making the operation's “tick”. In Algeria and in Congo I had the chance to add significant value do what, in my opinion, is the best part of our job. I used my experience and ideas to great effect, implementing programs to significantly increase oil production. I have extensive experience in CTU operations, WL and SL operations; any type of test (WT, separator test, MPFM (VX & ROXAR) and injectivity test), I have lead proposals of low production system installations, stimulations programs with CTU, pipes and BH; I have been the team leader for WO proposals. Most of my activity is focused on increasing production, where I am an expert in tools and methods to improve recovery while being particularly aware of the costs and the bottom line. In Algeria I proposed the CTU squeeze water injection treatment in order to remove the high skin due to salt plugs, achieving an important gain. 8 years on from my optimization, the company is still using my methods to great effect. In Congo, with ENI I promoted and implemented an early Production System in order to increase the oil rate in quick time, once installed the gain was higher than expected, the idea was extended and is still used 5 years on. Through my varied experience, dynamism, leadership and my technical creativeness, throughout my career I have succeeded in improving the recovery rate on oil fields where I have worked.
