I ran out of a roll of tape and opened a new box of tape dispensers. To my surprise, the new dispensers were shaped in order to better fit into my hand. I turned to my husband with a huge smile on my face and said, "this tape dispenser was made with the user in mind!" To which he replied, "neat?" Trying to explain my excitement, I said, "This is what I want to do!" "You want to make tape dispensers?" he asked. "No! I mean, maybe! But really I just want to design things that are human-centric! I love people. I love design. What better way is there to mold those two things together?" And that is how wrapping Christmas presents turned into a career in HF/E!
