Proven success with protecting small molecules, biologics and biomarkers as well as creatively using intellectual property and FDA regulations to maximize exclusivity for drug products. Recent highlights include: (i) getting 2 defensive patents granted in less than a year for an early series A company, (ii) extending patent life of a genus/species patent for a PIII molecule by ~40 months through maximization of PTA rules, and (iii) suggesting a CMC side-project to support the strategy for a new orange book listable patent, which provided an extra 10 years of exclusivity for an older drug, making it pursuable by the company and ultimately resulted in a 2.1B buyout of the company and FDA approval.
