I have also been a leader in a rapidly improving and challenging academy, successfully improving what were some of the worst Humanities results in the country, bringing them above national expectations. 👩🏼‍🎓*Lecturing and online training* Over the years I have mentored several trainee teachers and completed my Master degree specialising in the relationships between mentors and trainees. I started up a university higher education Geography PGCE course and delivered this successfully to cohorts of trainee teachers. I planned 120 hours of lecturing material and wrote, marked and moderated M-Level assignments. As Director of Early Career Teachers in an Outstanding secondary academy, I was responsible for trainees' placements and delivered training to 26 ECTs and mentors for their first ECF year as an online Facilitator. In this role I ensured my sessions were engaging and adapted to suit the needs of the cohort. I am currently completing my NPQLTD. 🌎🏊‍♀️🥾*Interests* I love the outdoors and enjoy cold water swimming all year round, paddle boarding, hiking and camping. I am a Duke of Edinburgh bronze and Silver leader and assessor. I am a member of a book club and in my spare time I create collage art pieces and enjoy dancing. I have travelled extensively in central and South America, Europe and Southeast Asia and love meeting people from all walks of life.
