Amelie Cornillon Email & Phone Number | I am technical & scientific manager, head of laboratory of EMERCell, a biotech start-up currently developing a Natural Killer-based immunotherapeutic cellular product for cancer treatment, combining all my favorite scientific fields. We brought the production process from academic bench to pharmaceutical industrial production, managed in vitro & in vivo preclinical experiments following ANSM-reviewed experimental designs, and currently plan a first clinical trial in oncohematology. In this role, I am both managing the R&D lab team & experiments, and the scientific & technical communication with various French & international audiences. Previously I have been working in academic labs on in translational research on Natural Killer cells and therapeutic antibodies in the oncology field, during my PhD and a short contract, but also on the development of a diagnosis kit in Contralco company. What I like most in my current function is that it is polyvalent, and I am frequently getting out of my comfort zone depending the project’s or company’s needs. In the same way as during my previous professional experiences, my intellectual curiosity, driving me to be a lifelong learner, is currently satisfied by the new pharmaceutical industry related proficiencies I am acquiring, as much as the new project developments. My perception of an efficient team management is combining the use of every people skills (innate & acquired), interconnections and bottom-up feedbacks, to an inevitable experienced and teaching lead. To my mind it is crucial to be attentive to colleagues and sensitive to their well-being to have a motivated & successful team. I am graduated from Marseille university of Luminy with a PhD in immunology.
