Stacks Law Firm has provided me with great opportunities over the years which has allowed me to progress in the firm. I started as one of the part-time receptionists then moved into the accounts department and remained in that position for quite a number of years developing my experience in book-keeping and various legal software systems. At the end of 2010 the Directors provided me with an opportunity to begin study through Macquarie University - Centre for Open Education studying Conveyancing Law & Practice. When I began the course in 2011 it was rather daunting as I had left school 30 years earlier and had not undertaken anything of this nature previously. For the next 2 years, my life consisted of working during the day and studying all night, combined with the various campus attendances, assignments and exams all at a level that I had never previously experienced. I was very proud and satisfied with myself for completing the course in 2 years with results that I am also proud of. My position of Licensed Conveyancer provides me with an opportunity of meeting new people entering an exciting phase of their life, whether its selling a property to up-size or downsize or buying a new home or investment property. It gives me great satisfaction to be able to provide my clients with a smooth transaction in order to make the experience enjoyable for them.
