I've stumbled into many conversations about why I chose to study English and what I plan on doing with my career. After hundreds of hours of contemplation over the best way to explain my choices, I always arrive at the same conclusion: I love what I do. As we grow and change, so do our passions. And while my focus points have changed over time from spoken word poetry to activist art, from family narratives to health writing, at the heart of it all, I'm compelled by how we tell stories. A storyteller at heart, I'm interested in how I can best write my way into a career that allows me to contribute my own narratives and/or support the production of other narratives. I'm interested in diverse storytelling and artful collaboration whether that final product comes out as a website, film, manuscript, playlist, or travel brochure—whatever project you're working on that needs a writer, count me in! I am currently seeking a Summer 2020 internship working in an editorial, copywriting, or UX/UI writing position. I hope to gain more design writing experience to help users navigate a product while emphatically telling the company's brand story.
