Amanda Krupman is a I'm currently pursuing an MSW degree through the Smith College of Social Work, a program that emphasizes clinical training for social workers. I'm embarking on a career transition that builds on decades of experience in both paid and volunteer roles, including advocacy and counseling positions at Between Friends (formerly "Friends of Battered Women and Their Children"), Planned Parenthood Chicago, and Hospice of the Western Reserve. Recently, I completed NYS DOH Rape Crisis training through the New York City Anti-Violence Project (NYC AVP), where I volunteer as a hotline crisis counselor for LGBTQ+ and HIV-affected callers. My past work experience has been as writer-editor, teaching artist, and program manager with expertise developed within the industries of higher education (e.g., Northeast Ohio MFA, CUNY, Princeton Review, Pace University, Middlebury College), youth development and education (e.g., Girls Write Now, Harlem Educational Activities Fund, Emerging Writers Institute), and at social justice and legal defense organizations (e.g., United Way, Center for Popular Democracy, Center for Reproductive Rights, Lambda Legal). http://www.amandakrupman.com
