A little about me: ➨ In the beginning of my career, I moved to Italy for four years to hone and master Italian tailoring and the language. ➨ I immersed myself in learning the art of draping in Florence at Polimoda and Milan’s Istituto Secoli - taught only in Italian. ➨ My first job was in couture with Raffaella Curiel, the first Italian Designer to collaborate with Bergdorf Goodman in the 1950s and train Karl Lagerfeld early in his development. ➨Dabbling in RTW with Marc Jacobs, Coach 1941, Marchesa, Mathieu Mirano, designing demi-couture collections sold in Dubai, Paris, and NYC, and now Tracy Reese managing two brands and special projects for Anthro. With a strong urge to design for women, I have been privileged to work on specialized projects for musicians and celebrities like Lady Gaga, Kendall Jenner, Icelandic Iamamiwhoami, Kim Kardashian, Emilia Clarke, Michelle Obama, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Halle x Chloe. My expertise is in: ➨ Developing red carpet custom orders, illustrating hand drawn motifs, and managing sample rooms for luxury production.. ➨ Analyzing fashion shows, underground trends, conversations and testing cutting-edge design ideas into untapped markets. ➨ Prints, color palettes, silhouettes, fabrics, moods, in addition to custom wedding gown consulting, design, fabric selection, pattern, fitting, and execution. My passion for the industry led me to launch AJ Valentine Consulting LLC, a start-up specializing in providing hands-on consultative guidance to individuals, start-ups, and companies, combined with the expertise in sourcing and upcycling garments through embellishment, and reselling to luxury boutiques. I am passionate about expanding my connections and contacts, to collaborate with like-minded professionals, designers, global partners, brand ambassadors, vendors, studios, and stakeholders, who share the same passions as I do, or those who are interested, and would like to connect!
