This included strengthening the control environment through development and implementation of improved processes, providing training and support, and conducting ongoing monitoring.Reporting to the Vice-President, Finance & Resources (VP F&R), was responsible for working with the VP F&R on strategic planning, organizational structure development, and coordinating desired outcomes with the leadership team, integrated planning office, and colleges and units, particularly with initiatives that had a broad impact across the university.Working with the local grants and compliance manager, reviewed the GOAL Ethiopia sub-grant monitoring process, with a focus on United States Agency for International Development (USAID) sub-grants, ensuring there were systems in place to monitor performance and obtain assurance that sub-grants were compliant with donor rules and regulations.Responsible for all financial oversight and cash management for the Pakistan country program during the first weeks of the flood emergency response.Responsible for financial oversight of the u20a43 million grant program on improving access to justice, including the development and implementation of the financial management aspects of the grant funding program, including drafting of grant funding application and associated guidance, assessment of applications, conducting budget negotiations, and developing and implementing quarterly financial monitoring requirements.
