Alvaro Favaratto Santos Email & Phone Number | I acquired my bachelor degree as a mechanical engineer in 06/2019, at the Universidade Federal do Espirito Santo (UFES), in Brazil. During my degree, I developed analytical skills and a drive for mathematical modeling. I have in my philosophy of life that anything that I can imagine, can be cast into reality with the right tools and careful planning. My major hobby is to project and produce prototypes, with focus in creating autonomous robots, gadgets and reverse engineering. I usually created with CAD designs and use my 3D printer to produce the components that are needed for the project to be transferred from paper into reality. In my university years I had the opportunity to work with two different projects for a total of three years. The first was a job as an assistant researcher working with development of the robot N-MARIA, a socially affective robot that is used as a therapeutic tool for children with autism. I entered the project in the early stages. My teamwork skills improved a lot on this role, and my ability to integrate a diverse team towards a same goal will be usefull in many roles, I am able to take in consideration the feedback of the team to improve my work and be more productive. Some of my experience includes: • Worked with professionals of different fields, having different demands and had to adapt my work to enable publication of articles. • Was immersed in a highly creative R&D laboratory, creating a prototype from zero to a well-rounded robot. • Learned that hard work and commitment pays off, as I was rewarded with knowledge in different fields that I took for life and an article publication being the major author. • Greatly contributed to the final design through my CAD skills, being the mechanical engineer of the team. I also worked on the Laboratory of Potency Generation as a laboratory monitor. My role was to The experience being a laboratory monitor made me interact with maintenance and made me work in a demanding environment, where experiments had to be designed and every machine tested, fixed and its usage documented for future classes. These skills will be very beneficial for transmitting information in a comprehensive way. Some of my experiences include: • Lectured classes regarding thermal and air conditioning machines. • Tested and created reports on usage of new equipment. • Gave maintenance on turbines and other thermal devices. • Upgraded old machines with data acquisition circuits to maintain it relevance and usability in classes. I have the determination and drive to make a difference.
