I put so much into planning because I know I will be better prepared to handle expected and unexpected circumstances. Over the past ten years, I have developed hazard mitigation plans, assisted municipalities with emergency plans, developed a Commodity Flow Study, developed a protocol for Local Liaison activation, written grants, attended trainings and conferences, participated in statewide exercises, and collected an abundance of damage information from communities, amongst various other everyday tasks. I strive to find ways to help communities become better prepared for future emergencies, and am pleased when the work I do is found to be beneficial.
