While I am a software engineer by trade, I’ve always favored the creative arts and been very passionate about helping to create a better world for people in creative ways. Across such fields, I’ve gotten to know a variety of people with different viewpoints, thinking processes, backgrounds, and motivations and that’s been invaluable in my growing understanding of people. I think there’s a lot of potential for growth in technology and AI, but it’s also important to remember that it’s not just a toy; it can do a great deal of harm if we don’t consider how it impacts our lives and the environment we all share. I have 8+ years of experience as a front-end software engineer; in addition to the usual HTML and CSS/SCSS, I've worked with JavaScript and its various frameworks and libraries: vanilla JS, jQuery, ES6, TypeScript, React, Angular, among other lesser known frameworks. Many of the skills I’ve gained over my career can directly transfer to Python development.
