She has directed the following plays: Al-Halafeet by Egyptian playwright, Mahmoud Diab; Ayyam Beirut adapted from a novel by Nazik Yared; Al-Makhlouta, a devised play on mental health awareness for Medecins Sans Frontieres performed at the Bourj Al-Barajneh Palestinian Refugee Camp. Most recently, she directed 80 Steps by Randa Khalidi. 80 Steps was chosen to represent Lebanon in competition at the Arab Theatre Festival in Sharjah, UAE in January 2014. She also recently acted in Return to Haifa, directed by Lina Abyad and performed at Babel Theatre, Beirut in 2010 and 2013. The most recent theatre work entitled "ANBARA" written and directed by Aliya was performed between April 14 and May 28th 2016. It played at Babel Theatre to great reviews. Alongside her theatre work, Aliya has trained over 100 presenters for various television stations such as: DUBAI TV MBC She has trained Jury members on the following TV shows: Arab Idol Arabs Got Talent X-Factor Aliya also trains public speakers such as doctors, businessmen, educational staff and public figures.
