Prior to joining Big Coat Media, Alissa worked for Fusion Television in various roles. First as Series Producer for the hit show Divine Design with Candice Olson and then she was promoted to Head of Production and Development and oversaw their full production and development slate. Three unique series she developed during her tenure were put into production. During her time at Fusion she was involved in the planning and execution of large-scale design segments with Candice Olson for: The View, Regis and Kelly and The Oprah Winfrey Show. Alissa started her career in dramatic television at Sullivan Entertainment. She worked in the story department on Road to Avonlea, as a Story Editor on Wind At My Back and later in the Development Department. She left the company to pursue her love of lifestyle television and began working as a freelance producer and writer. She co-created and executive produced two series for W Network: Cooking for Love and Switchinu2019 Kitchens. Alissa says she was born to produce television. She credits an early ride home in a cable television van after incurring a minor injury in a hit and run bike accident as her first foray into the world of television. She hasnu2019t looked back since! She is a driven television production professional with years of experience in multiple creative and organizational roles. She is a dynamic, respected team player who prides herself on organization and communication. She is a self-starting leader who excels in multitasking and working in fast paced, high stress production environments.Alissa is currently enjoying the challenges and rewards of working as Co-Executive Producer for Big Coat Media and is based out of the companyu2019s satellite office in Durham, North Carolina. Alissau2019s main role is to supervise the day-to-day production activities of the award wining series Love It Or List It. While overseeing all the creative, organizational and financial elements in the production, she also oversees the extensive renovation and design projects that happen in each episode of the show.
