Alison Fast Email & Phone Number | Alison Fast is a Peabody Award-winning Producer, Director, Camerawoman, and Editor, who has worked for NBC, PBS, BBC Worldwide, and MTV Networks in Los Angeles. Through her production company, Blue Magnolia Films and the nonprofit organization, Barefoot Workshop, she has led 70+ workshops in 10 countries for clients, including the U.S. State Department. Her work includes documenting the Mara River in Kenya during a five-week expedition with No Water No Life, assisting First Nations to get out messages about climate change, helping to launch the first film festival in Juba, South Sudan, and documenting the response to the BP oil spill for National Audubon Society. In 2017, she originated a statewide storytelling project with 100 participants across 13 rural towns in Mississippi, together with more than 80 partners and sponsors. The project resulted in a mile-long "interactive" exhibit in the capital and was featured in New York Times, as well as publications across the state. Currently, she is working on a series of documentaries about Freedom Houses, historic structures used during the civil rights era to support voter registration, with funding from Mississippi Heritage Trust through The National Park Service (NPS). Alison works as a creative consultant and strategist, alongside producing social impact films. She graduated from Boston University with a Degree in Journalism.
