Alice Fay is a Coordinated Tearfund’s response to HIV through 5 priority areas (PMTCT, stigma reduction, behaviour change and HIV prevention, access and adherence to treatment, impact mitigation for OVC) through technical advice and support to build partners’ capacity. Led research on uptake of PMTCT services in 10 countries. Led design, development and field testing in 10 African countries of participatory toolkit, “Guardians of our Children’s Health” to engage communities, particularly men, in PMTCT. Supported consortium of 6 Kenyan organisations in successful proposal development for PEPFAR and provided technical support to programme once started. Designed and implemented a series of participatory field-based workshops on mitigating the impact of HIV through livelihoods and psychosocial programmes; supported partners in East Africa to plan Memory Work projects including a livelihoods component.Provided technical support to partners responding to drought in Eritrea through Supplementary Feeding Programme. Conducted evaluation of large water, sanitation and hygiene promotion programme in Ethiopia. Led rapid needs assessment with partners and designed response to food crisis in Niger and Burkina Faso.
