At the age of 14, I started working at a bodega, which deepened my appreciation for my parents' sacrifices and motivated me to pursue a higher education. At Lafayette College, I discovered the endless possibilities that come with a degree. From studying abroad in Costa Rica to balancing roofing work and late-night shifts with coursework during the pandemic, I learned that perseverance and dedication can lead to great achievements. My academic success, including consistently making the Dean's list and being a McKelvy Scholar, allowed me to utilize my research skills during my internship at Scott Madden. My passion for researching large phenomena, such as colonization, capitalism, and supply chains throughout Latin America, has equipped me with the ability to understand complex concepts and to tackle any task. I have gained valuable experience as an Associate Consultant at Alliantgroup, specializing in the research and development credit. This credit is known to be one of the most complicated credits in the entire Internal Revenue Code. My role involves conducting thorough research and analysis to identify eligible R&D expenditures, and preparing technical reports to support the credit claims of our clients. This requires a keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate technical information to clients and colleagues. In addition to my research and analytical skills, I am proud of my ability to write and speak Spanish, which has allowed me to translate complex information in academic, personal, and professional contexts. After a recent near-death experience in Mexico, I am more motivated than ever to realize my full potential and to honor my parents' sacrifices. I am determined to continue pursuing my goals and to make the most of the opportunities that come my way.
