I am a graduate of Tennessee State University (TSU) where I received a Bacheloru2019s of Science degree in Architectural Engineering. To better understand my major Architectural Engineering students are a jack of all trades. We take classes in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and much more from other majors. Upon graduating from TSU I moved back to Atlanta, GA where I interned for Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC in their BIM/VDC department. In the almost year spent there, I learned a lot about Construction as well as the desired role. My duties as an intern started out with me shadowing full-time BIM/VDC employees. During that time I asked questions and developed a solid foundation for my future endeavors. Over time I became more independent as an intern and began to coordinate with field & trade teams alone. Aside from running full coordination I also spent time laser scanning one of Atlanta's most prestigious schools. I've also done mechanical and structural modeling. Currently, I am a full-time employee at Holder Construction Company where I am working in the VDC department as an Engineer. Here at Holder, I am responsible for managing different trade contractors to ensure an effective coordination effort. I have taken on laser scanning and processing as well.
