This experience taught me the necessary skills to execute and present large-scale research while introducing the world of environmental science and conservation. Since this experience, I have taken every initiative to ensure I am leaving a positive impact on the earth. I am co-founder and Vice President of Alfred Goes Green, a club stationed at Alfred University that is working towards promoting sustainability within the community. Most recently, I completed a renewable energy development internship, which introduced me to the world of renewable energy generation. I was able to learn industry standards such as 94-C permitting processes, as well as relevant issues such as transmission and curtailment. Throughout my internship, I conducted independent research and presented a final capstone project titled "A Feasibility Study of the New York Native Seed Market." I would thrive in a position where I could further apply my academic knowledge to my work and continue my participation in research. I am interested in continuing to learn about the applications of environmental science and how these applications can mitigate existing and future problems.
