Alexandra Vasquez Email & Phone Number | I started my career in finance in 2018 at East Texas Professional Credit Union as a part time Teller. I saw a need for a bilingual presence in our office, so I taught myself Spanish to better accommodate a large group of our members. From there, I studied how to become a Financial Representative and moved up when the position became available. I traveled within a 30 mile radius to service East Texas as a bilingual Financial Service Representative. My career then moved to Regions bank, where I became licensed NMLS, sold annuities and life insurance products to customers. Regions became a major stepping stone for me where I realized I wanted a back office position after shadowing coworkers in Wealth Management. I had always enjoyed customer service and speaking with members face to face, until this point I had always been member facing. Our branch consolidated and I moved to a Nexus location, which was very modern and had the most up to date technology. I was happy to be apart of a groundbreaking move in finance. My next career move placed me at Texas Bank and Trust as a Loan Service Associate II, my first back office position. I delved into real estate closing, commercial real estate, consumer and commercial lending. Real estate and commercial lending became a favorite of mine, a different loan process to the usual consumer lending I was used to. TBT prepared me for my current role now as a Hybrid Lending Center Coordinator with Eastman Credit Union. My love for credit unions has grown over the years, I have adored working for a company that gives back to the community and members as well as employees. As a mother to 3, it’s important to align myself with a company that I share the same morals and values with. My goals for the next few years are to be in a fully remote environment, working as an underwriter or back in commercial lending.
