With Sonia Michaels, she co-founded SoYouWantToMake.Games, a boutique consultancy for game industry job applicants. For two years, Alexandra also co-hosted and wrote scripts for Cheat Codes, a weekly podcast about video games and pop culture. Alexandra has delivered presentations on gender studies topics at GDC, PAX Dev, GeekGirlCon, Wellesley College, DigiPen, and the Northeast Pop Culture/American Culture Association Conference. Professionally, she has worked on educational MMORPGs, interactive novels, RTS mobile games, traditional short stories, digital assistants, and more.
