Prior to law school, Alexa earned a Masters degree in Aboriginal history with a focus on residential schools. She has also advised on treaty negotiations, specific claims and other negotiations between the Crown and Aboriginal peoples and between third parties and Aboriginal peoples. Currently Alexa's focus is on legislative drafting, governance work for First Nation Governments, and Treaty implementation.
