Alex Kendall Email & Phone Number | Alex Kendall (he/him) is an Assistant Professor, and Program Director of the Emory School of Medicine's PA program in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine. Alex received his masters in physician assistant studies at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and holds a dual degree in anthropology from Tufts University and in fine art from the Boston School of the Museum of Fine Arts. He has a background in hospitalist medicine and is a vocal advocate of inclusive education, patient-centered care, and community health. Prior to arriving in Atlanta, Alex taught clinical medicine at Rosalind Franklin University School of Medicine and Science in the Physician Assistant and Health Administration departments. There he collaboratively grew a culture of active learning, public health advocacy, and interprofessional care. Since arriving at Emory in 2018, Alex has been privileged to work with an inspiring team of medical educators in the School of Medicine. As Associate Program Director, he taught clinical medicine and physical assessment, developed a social medicine curriculum, and championed student success initiatives for those with diverse lived experiences and learning challenges. He continues to facilitate and shape the educational and workplace culture to one of inclusivity, creativity, and collaboration. As Program Director, his vision is to meet the needs of underserved and marginalized communities by deepening ties with the local community, expanding the primary care footprint of the PA profession, and growing a rich and diverse clinical workforce that reflects the very communities in need.
