It was all thanks to my dad, a dedicated nurse and trade unionist, who introduced me to the internet through a 56k modem. He'd use it for writing letters in MS Word to help his fellow workers. At 14, I got my hands on a Pentium 4 and decided to venture into Linux with Ubuntu. That's where my love for solving tech puzzles began. Figuring out driver issues and navigating through various system challenges was my kind of adventure. I decided to complicate more my life using Gentoo (the infamous handbook!). My hobby back in high school? War driving. I've always believed that everyone should have access to the internet – it's like a window to the world. Fast forward to my university days in Catania, I took my passion a step further. In April 2014, I developed my very first Android app, WIFI WPS WPA TESTER. The idea was simple yet powerful – to make people aware of the vulnerabilities in their WiFi access points. Little did I know, this app would reach a staggering 160 million downloads! It's been an amazing journey, monetizing through ads and in-app purchases, which even allowed me to start my own company, Sangiorgi SRL. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with incredible collaborators and employees. Together, we've not only developed apps but also ventured into consultancy for other companies. Believing that great ideas come from research and community efforts, I recently started a PhD program at Saint Louis University, in Missouri. It's all about diving deeper into the tech world and making a real difference. I'm on a mission to collaborate with people who share a vision of making the world a better place through technology.
