I take an active involvement in helping to define engineering principles and standards, ways of working and many of the active processes along with providing tactical and strategic planning and leadership. I am a keen advocate of the kaizen principle and am constantly on the look-out for ways to improve and add efficiency. I believe that everyone should always be learning, and am correspondingly passionate about teaching, mentoring and tuition. A good manager should always have time for their line reports too, be able to provide support, psychological safety, timely feedback and career guidance as well as celebrating team success.
