In the early part of my career, I worked for an engineering consultancy company. I was responsible as a materials engineer in executing R&D projects on high temperature creep and non-evasive testing and the role included business development and project management on a number of projects. I was also involved with site-based activities focused on life assessment and extension for ageing power plant, refinery and petrochemical facilities and I co-authored several technical papers. I also supported the Company QA Manager and undertook QA audits on behalf of the company as part of ISO 9001 compliance. Overall, I have a proven track record in delivering technical solutions and leading project teams and have broad range of skills and considerable expertise in the selection and specification of metals, polymers and composites and corrosion control aspects within the hydrocarbons industry covering the entire project lifecycle. This includes work within the engineering office and at site and is built on strong commercial, leadership, problem-solving and communication skills.
