Since 2006, she has performed more than 11000 intravitreal injections of different medicines (Avastin, Triamcynolon, Lucetis, Ozurdex, Eylea) in a number of diseases (AMD, DME, CMO, neovascular glaucoma). Vitrectomies, the surgeries of the vitreous body and the retina, dominated the scientific interest of dr Nowosielska. These surgeries are considered to be the most difficult among all the procedures performed in the field of ophthalmology. Not only specialized knowledge and manual skills, but also an extensive clinical experience are needed in order to carry out a vitrectomy successfully. Dr Nowosielska has performed around 2500 of such operations so far.
