I train & be a preceptor to new employees & students. I get to have the responsibility to be able to be in charge by helping my students & new employees succeed in this wonderful career, by learning basic phlebotomy skills, proper verification of each patient by asking full name & birthday & know how to process samples correctly & understand the regulations of HIPAA. I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to be able to do this task. It's an amazing job being a phlebotomist. It's been great so far. I love my clinic I am in. We have the best lab ever, my co-worker & I. We have a huge window we look out at & the atmosphere is amazing. I love going to work. I'm getting paid to do something I love. I live my patients, providers & non-providers including my nurses & CMA's. This job has taught me so much with only the short 3 years I've been employed at Rockwood.
