I started my career as a manufacturing engineer responsible for the grinding and electrical discharge machining of high-pressure turbine vanes at Pratt & Whitney. I worked in the Hot Section Module Center - South (formerly known as the Turbine Module Center) located in East Hartford, CT. In this role, I created CNC programs, designed durable and consumable tooling, developed work instructions, and provided critical technical support to 4 advanced grind lines. Our most rewarding work was bringing to life a brand new 15-million-dollar advanced grind line in 2014. We managed the capital project from specification and ordering of the equipment through delivery, installation, and release to production. Countless hours were devoted to ensure that the grind line was production-ready and able to support the schedule ramp up of F135 turbine vanes. We didn’t stop once the line was installed, as we kept applying lean manufacturing principles to increase productivity by 157% from 2015 to 2016. During the summer of 2017, I decided to make the jump from manufacturing engineering to management consulting and join the V2A team in San Juan, Puerto Rico. V2A has given me the opportunity to grow in the areas of strategy, organizational design, and business analytics. I have also been able to apply my technical background to help our clients become more efficient and reduce costs in their operations. I certainly have a passion for process optimization and my enthusiasm at work can inspire others around me to do better. I have a customer-centric mindset and I find it extremely fulfilling when I can deliver on commitments made to our customers.
